Kathleen studied fine art painting at Kingston University and The Slade School of art London and has always maintained a live art practice, most recently developing an interest in printmaking and photography. In 1999 Kathleen graduated with a Post Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, which she later converted to a Masters Degree at The university of Hertfordshire. Since 1999 Kathleen has worked in various NHS Mental Health settings including: acute mental health; child and adolescent inpatient; forensic inpatients; specialist psychotherapy services; 2 specialist therapeutic communities for people with personality disorders; and most recently in the prison service. Currently Kathleen works for Oxleas NHS Trust and Central North West London NHS Trust. Since 2014 Kathleen has worked as an art psychotherapist in a small CAMHS Team providing mental health assessment and treatment for boys and young men detained on remand and serving sentences in a young offenders institution.
